Welcome to Custos.Com

Custos is the Latin word for guard. It occurs in civic titles such as "custos rotulorum", which means "keeper of the rolls".

Greek writers such as Plato and Roman writers such as Juvenal wrote about the difficulty of controlling the actions of persons in positions of power. Human nature has not changed appreciably since those times 2,000-3,000 years, so we still have that issue to tackle today.

Juvenal's question "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" has been translated many ways. One translation is "Who Watches the Watchers?"

The mission of Custos.Com is to provide the tools so that you may watch the watchmen. The public policy process in America has been corrupted. Grassroots organizers need the digital infrastructure to stop this trend, and to insure accountability.

This isn't a partisan issue, and Custos.Com is non-partisan.
